MY DREAM

Have you ever wondered what the world will be like in 50 years?

Most likely there will be more people living on earth, larger cities and great new technologies. When I think about tomorrow's world, I imagine it to have robots. Various robots, which will help you with the tasks you can't do, with monotonous, probably dangerous tasks. They will be helpers for every situation in your life.

My name is Marvin, I am an engineering student in robotics and my dream is to be a part in making this vision reality.

MY IDEA

Robotics is a versatile field, which is approached completely different all over the world. I would love to gain an insight into the New Zealand way of developing robots.

I am very impressed by the researches in medical and agricultural robotics done at the University of Auckland.

Their great range of interesting courses, like Machine Learning or Computer Vision, provides an excellent opportunity for me to learn subjects that are not taught at my home university.

They also have appealing clubs, such as the Photographic society. I am a passionate amateur photographer, therefore joining  the club would be a fantastic way to explore the beautiful country and meet new people.

MY HOPES

Travelling, learning, meeting a different culture and friendly people, in other words:  going on an adventure. That is what I imagine my stay in New Zealand to be like. I have the dream to go there since many years, until now it unfortunately was not possible for me financially. Therefore, I really hope to receive the scholarship to make my dream come true.
